1 What Information We Collect
- Account info — your email address, optional username, and hashed password (we never store your password in plain text)
- Uploaded images — photos you submit for AI scanning. Images are processed by our AI and are not stored permanently after analysis
- Scan results — item identifications, Flip Scores, and valuations saved to your account history
- Usage data — pages you visit, features you use, and how frequently you scan
- Device info — browser type, operating system, IP address, and device type
- Payment info — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card numbers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data
2 How We Use Your Information
- Power the AI scanning and valuation features
- Save your scan history and Flip Log (Pro accounts)
- Send product updates and tips — only if you've opted in
- Improve AI accuracy and app performance
- Comply with legal requirements
We don't use your data to train public AI models. We don't sell your data. Full stop.
3 Children's Privacy (COPPA)

PicZFlip is available to users aged 13 and older.
- Users under 13 are not permitted to create accounts
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13
- If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately
- Parents and guardians may contact piczflip@polsia.app to request review or deletion of a minor's data
- We do not sell, share, or use data from users under 18 for advertising purposes
- We do not display third-party ads to any users
If you believe your child has created an account or provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at piczflip@polsia.app.
4 Sharing Your Information
We do not sell personal data. Ever.
We share data only with the services required to operate PicZFlip:
- AI processing provider — to analyze your scan images
- Stripe — to process payments securely
- Hosting and infrastructure — to serve the app reliably
- Analytics — anonymized, aggregated usage data only
We may disclose information if required by law or in response to a valid legal request.
5 Data Retention
- Account data — retained while your account is active
- Uploaded scan images — deleted after processing, within 24 hours
- Scan results and Flip history — retained until you delete them or close your account
- Full data deletion — available anytime by emailing piczflip@polsia.app
6 Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can also opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate information
- Deletion — request full account and data deletion
- Opt-out — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

7 Cookies
We use essential cookies only — specifically for login sessions and core app functionality.
- No advertising cookies
- No cross-site tracking cookies
- We do not sell cookie data
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features (like staying logged in) may not work without them.
8 Security
We take security seriously:
- Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms — never stored in plain text
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- We follow industry-standard security practices for data storage and access control

9 Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you via email or an in-app banner before the changes take effect. Your continued use of PicZFlip after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Minor updates (clarifications, formatting) may be made without notice. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the most recent version.
